Unlimited everything 07/29/2010
Anyone'd like to go on an unlimited lunch of pizzas and salads and bread sticks? For a while now I've been seeing this ads guy along the corner dancing and doing antics just to catch the riders' attention and with a big plaque on his hand telling us that Round Table is offering a $5.99 buffet. I just have to give in after many, many weeks. Giving him a thumbs-up sign as we passed by made him happy and he's looked out if we really were going into the resto's direction. I am a big pizza-lover and 'twas heaven to just go and pick, and pick and pick again any kind of pizzas you'd like to have. The one that didn't suit me well was the Cinnamon flavor. Oh, it was horrible to be eating a sweet pizza. Overall, it was great! But it'd definitely take me weeks and weeks before I'd give in again. Again for Willa's Food Trip Friday. Thanks for featuring my last week's post! Keep it going! Cooked up! 07/22/2010
When I cook, I really cook... and it all got served for dinner last night. I've only had the vegies and the fish since I am not a pork or meat lover. The pork chops came with my own version of the Thai mango salad. And so with the pinakbet which I cooked my way too, light and easy. A real Food Trip Friday entry from me for this week...As always, please click on the thumbnails for larger view. Have a nice weekend everyone! Macarons or macaroons? 07/15/2010
So, what are these? Macarons or macaroons? Are you confused? Don't be... ...'coz these are called coconut macaroons, commonly found in the US, Netherlands and Germany. I first learned how to make these macaroons in The Netherlands and we sometimes dipped it in chocolate syrup or plainly eat them as is. And I just finished making them right now and again they go well with my cup of coffee. Another entry for Willa's Food Trip Friday. Have a happy weekend y'all! German choc cake 07/08/2010
Topped with caramelized young coconut's meat. This and coffee is what I'm having right now ~ for a late snack...'tis a sweet tooth afternoon! Another photo for Willa's Food Trip Friday...Enjoy! Street food... 06/24/2010
In times when we feel too tired to cook, the street food lane is where we go to at Hongkong Plaza in Rowland Heights...It is at times liberating when you just have to sit down and not worry about cooking something. It's time for Food Trip Friday! Pomodoro 06/17/2010
I love pasta, just because...This is my Pomodoro version...just quite easy. Pasta Pomodoro is an Italian food typically prepared and mostly with angel hair pasta (I used linguine instead), olive oil, fresh tomatoes, basil, and other fresh ingredients that may vary. It is intended to be a quick light dish, rather than a dish in a heavy sauce. Pomodoro means tomato in Italian. The only place I go to when I feel like eating sandwiches is Subway. Theirs are heavenly but I leave the chips and cola for my li'l girl to have it all to herself...after all, she needs to know how they taste... *rolling eyes? Still for Willa's Food Trip Friday... Apple of my eye 06/04/2010
They go well with my coffee or chai...the apple [strudels] of my eye... Supposedly for Foodtrip Friday... but am lost... A peace of pancake 05/01/2010
My yellow bunny 04/04/2010
There were a few reasons why I just have to buy this fist-sized, little bunny cake... It is yellow, it reminds me of two special girls back home who are fond of bunnies and I want to show this to a crazy cousin. It also tells that Easter goodies at supermarkets can easily tempt shoppers. Anyway, I gave it to a niece here who without hesitation ate it with gusto. |
